Real Madrid host Levante at 1:00pm local time on Saturday at the Santiago Bernabeu. For a considered early kick off in Spain, Los Blancos will be hoping to get back to winning ways after a series of bad results against a team they should ought to take three points from, but anything less will spell trouble for Real Madrid manager Julen Lopetegui.

Home Team: Real Madrid

real madrid betting.footballFour games without a win or a goal has pushed Real Madrid down the league to fourth place. Embarrassed by Sevilla, held by Atletico Madrid, caught off-guard by CSKA Moscow and then utterly shocked by an Alaves team who delivered the killer blow by winning 1-0 in the dying minutes.

It will be 29 days without scoring for Real Madrid when they take the field on Saturday, and you can’t help to put it down as a team that is missing Cristiano Ronaldo’s goals. Gareth Bale has been injured and out of action, but is expected to return to the starting line-up this weekend. The club needs him now, and others too to chip in goals or else they will fall away from the top of the league like they did last year. Thankfully though, they are only two points off the pace.

Away Team: Levante

Levante have produced back to back wins in La Liga, showing Real Madrid how to beat Alaves in one of those matches. The two wins have taken them up to 11th position, 3 points above the relegation places. Levante finished 15th last season, and their fans will hope to improve on that position, but will not take anything for granted in this increasingly competitive league. Roger Martí is the top goal scorer for Levante with four goals, but he hasn’t been able to get a goal since the beginning of September. The club will need their hitman here if they are to stand any chance of getting an improbable result here.

Head to Head

As expected, Real Madrid have a dominant head to head record between the two sides, but Levante have been able to spring a surprise now and then. In fact, Levante were able to draw both games last season, meaning Real Madrid had dropped four points in their quest for the title. Levante last beat Real Madrid in 2011, when a 1-0 win saw them defeat Jose Mourinho’s team at the beginning of the season. At the Bernabeu, Real Madrid have won six of their last 7 meetings with the home side scoring 26 goals in the process. Levante last won away at Real Madrid in 2007.

Predictions and Betting Tips

Real Madrid are solid favourites for this match at 1/6 to get a victory. Levante are at 14/1 to repeat the surprise victory back in 2007 and a draw is priced at 13/2. Despite Real Madrid not scoring for almost a whole calendar month, I expect their barren run to come to an end this Saturday, and expect them to pick up a routine victory. A 2-0 win for the home side would be my top tip, and that is at 7/1.

If you think that Gareth Bale will score first in that 2-0 win, you can boost your earnings significantly and get it at 24/1. Real Madrid haven’t been involved in a game that has been more than 3.5 goals since the 1st of September, and so betting on there to be less than 3.5 goals is at 1/1 (EVENS), and considering the form that both are in, I don’t think there will be a big difference in the score line, or bags of goals.
