Valencia host Real Madrid in La Liga on Wednesday, kicking off at 9:30pm local time. The hosts are making a late surge for the Champions League qualification places, whereas Real Madrid are starting their revival under the regime of the returning Zinedine Zidane.

Home Team: Valencia

Valencia had an incredibly slow start to their season, and created a unique record where they drew more games than they had won or loss – which is still factual even now, after 29 league matches. As we head into April, Valencia have only lost four matches all season in La Liga, but their weakness has been unable to convert some of the 16 draws they have had, into wins. Valencia have been in terrific form of late, and were able to win this past weekend in Sevilla.

Daniel Parejo scored the only goal of the game, via the penalty spot, as they leapfrogged Sevilla in the table, which takes them to 6th. Valencia may have had a lot less possession and chances, but their resilience shone through once more, and are only 3 points behind that illusive 4th spot. On current form, you wouldn’t back against Valencia not achieving it.

Away Team: Real Madrid

Zinedine Zidane has been back in charge for two matches now, and it’s no surprise that they were able to collect 6 points from those matches which keeps Real Madrid in 3rd position. Their match this past weekend was a highly entertaining one, as they overcome bottom side Huesca in a thrilling match which ended 3-2. Karim Benzema scored a late curler to secure the points, and avoid some blushes around the stadium, as many had anticipated them to win at a canter (not me though – check my predictions!).

There is little to play for in the famous white shirt of Real Madrid for the remainder of the season, apart for their position in next season’s squad personally, and of course trying to topple Atletico Madrid in the league, collectively. This will be the real first test of Zidane’s return though, and we’ll see how the side has transformed since he came back in the picture.

Head to Head

Real Madrid have the slight edge in this fixture, but Valencia have been able to trouble the side from the capital on many occasions over recent seasons. In the reverse fixture, Real Madrid won the game at the Bernabeu in a 2-0 result, with an own goal and a late goal from Lucas Vasquez the difference.

In this respective fixture from last season, Real Madrid were comfortable 4-1 winners, under the management of Zidane, and with Cristiano Ronaldo scoring a brace of penalties. Despite losing their last two matches against Real Madrid, Valencia were able to draw or beat Real Madrid at home in 2015, 2016 and 2017 – with the latter being Valencia’s last success in this fixture. on facebook Follow to get instant Free regular Expert betting tips Follow Us

Expert Predictions and Betting Tips

[geot exclude_country=”US,CA” ]bet now betting on football[/geot] The visitors are slight favourites to win at 1/1, with Valencia at 23/10 to win. For the sides to draw, that is priced at 13/5. Valencia haven’t lost a league game since the first week of 2019, but I expect them to lose here. It may suit Real Madrid to play this match away from home, where their performances have been better, and may lift the pressure of them slightly. It will be a tight match, with the visitors edging to a 1-0 victory at 10/1. To boost odds on that score line, you can add Sergio Ramos to score the only goal, either by header or by penalty, which will take it to 70/1.

[geot country=”US,CA” ]bet now betting on football[/geot] If you believe Valencia will keep their unbeaten run, then you can bet them to draw or win on a double chance, which is at 8/11. I see the game panning out to be tight in the first half, with an away goal to settle it in the second half, so a Draw/Real Madrid HT/FT bet at 4/1 should be considered. Finally, for the real tipsters, if you are feeling lucky, and back my opinion, then bet on the first goal to be scored from minute 71-80 at a generous 25/1. on facebook Follow to get instant Free regular Expert betting tips Follow Us
